Now, I know what you're thinking, "Brian, I thought you said you were going to do a character a day." Well I am, and I haven't exactly fallen off the wagon already. I have 8 characters drawn, I just haven't gotten around to scanning and uploading them. It turns out when you get a new house, it takes up most of your time. So anyways...

I think I meet with the majority when I say Tim Drake is my favorite Robin. Don't get me wrong, Dick was good too (hahaha) It's just I grew up reading Tim as Robin so I guess it's what I am used too. I also love the more recent costume without the green. Your able to take him a little more seriously but at the same time he looks like Robin. I'll draw the 90's costume a little later on.

I think my favorite design for the character was from The New Batman Adventures cartoon, so i took some influence from that.

Mr. Freeze is one of my favorite character designs. I love the art deco robot looking thing he has going. One thing I hate is how some artists make him all buff and beefy, I think they take some influence from the movie Batman and Robin. Why anyone would take influence from that is beyond me.

Here are some characters I did for the Motorcity Horror Con. Me and my buddy Pat had a booth between Kane, the guy who played Jason Voorhees, and the zombie that got the top of his head cut off by a helicopter blade in Dawn of the Dead.

Bill Hinzman, the man who played the first zombie in Night of the Living Dead was there. I gave him a print of this one and he signed one for me. It was cool.

Here is a piece to go along with an article about sleep. The article talks about how its common for people not to get a solid nights sleep, but for whatever the reason we are lead to believe we need these medications and help in order to sleep. It's really an evolutionary thing because way back when people were sleeping in caves and in the grass, you would have wake up in the middle of the night just to make sure an animal wasn't eating you.

Whenever I post pictures on this site the colors seem to get muted and a little desaturated. Does anyone else get this problem or know why? Its been bugging me.

The Misadventures of Flapjack has to be one of the best cartoons to come out in recent years. I'm still getting use to painting on the computer, I don't really think it's my thing, I much prefer the traditional way of doing things but I guess this turned out okay. I think I'll add Bubbie and Doctor Barber some other time to this and post it again.

So I did this a while ago, but I thought it would be fun to show off. I found this sketchbook with a drawing in it that I must of done when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. This guy must of been some kind of alien evil scientist or something. I remember constantly drawing odd superheroes and villains when I was younger. So I thought it would be fun to draw this guy again. I think it's safe to say I got a little better with time.
